The newer edges along Lagerfeld Drive add the area's first mid-rise: Mattamy's Union Mount Pleasant brought a six-storey condo and stacked and dual-front townhomes. Because the stock is new, kitchens and laundries are code-current — modern panels with dedicated dryer and range circuits, factory-roughed venting and drains — and the appliances themselves are first- or second-owner units rather than aging hand-me-downs.
